Patient Info
Q: How long will this crown, porcelain, bridge, veneer, onlays, fillings last?
A: So many factors influence the longevity of dental restorations, that our best estimates are simply that. Estimates. However, it is our pleasure to offer you what we believe to be a unique value…
Optimal health is ONLY maintainable when dentist and patient alike commit to a joint partnership effort.
Our Part
If our crowns, porcelain veneers, or onlays/inlays EVER need replacement due to defect, and the tooth is still savable, (as long as Dr. Schumann maintains his private practice in dentistry)… AND you do your part (below) it will be replaced; we will replace the prosthetic in full during the first full year. Each following year, the amount paid minus twenty percent is warranted up to the five year period.
NOTE: We cannot predict if and/or when gum or nerve treatments may be required. If needed, they will require additional fees.
Your Part
- Visit our office for a minimum of 2 times per calendar year for cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatment, and Carifree homecare. We need to be sure we are checking for potential problems that could undermine this restoration.
- Complete all recommended treatment in the same quadrant (quarter of the mouth the tooth in question is in) within a one year period. Gum infection and bacterial decay spread from tooth to tooth. Your path to optimal health requires a comprehensive approach to care.
- Advise us of the need to change your appointments within the recommended time. Shorter notice cancellations or changes severely limit our ability to offer another patient their most preferred time.
- Wear custom-made night guard if recommended to protect teeth from wear and damage.
